IAE is an Institute deal to provide Education to society. Is a public service started before independent of Tanganyika under the Department of Extra-Mural Studies of Makerere University College?
After independence in 1963, the institute became a department of the University College of Dar es Salaam in this time it was assigned more responsibilities and tasks.
